Every person deserves to be truly seen at work

That's why we built Humanico

The story of how frustration led to workforce intelligence that puts people first.

What if the best talent wasn't hiding outside your company, but hiding in plain sight?

The Humanico story

It all started with a napkin sketch.

One of us was navigating Board and C-Suite frustration around lack of visibility of existing talent.

The other one was adjusting to a new industry, with zero visibility of transferable aptitude.

We spotted the same challenge, but from very different perspectives.

As a world-class headhunter, Paul kept hearing the same story from Boards and C-Suite executives: “We’re spending a huge amount of time and money searching for talent externally, but what if we’re missing incredible people already in our organisation?”

Fiona had landed in a new industry, where the skills and experience she’d gained in her prior career could not be seen or understood by her new leaders. She knew she could add value, but found it impossible to connect the dots.

One day, over coffee, they started sketching an idea: what if leaders could actually visualise the natural talent, skills, sentiment and work preferences of every person on their teams?

That sketch became Humanico's Human Map.

Top 5 Strengths:

Futuristic | Strategic | Achiever | Relator | Learner

Often described in childhood as a “curious sponge,” this superpower continues to drive Fiona’s entrepreneurial spirit. She listens more than she talks, trusts her gut, and has the ability to absorb information quickly to drive strategy.

Fiona is passionate about helping people unlock their true potential. The statistic that drives her most? 85% of employees are never invested in. “Traditional investment is limited to executives and high potentials,” she says. “Which begs the question… What about everyone else?!”

Fiona believes there’s an abundance of untapped potential dormant in organisations. Her own experience of feeling unseen in previous roles fuelled her determination to create a solution where every individual’s unique strengths are recognised and valued. That’s why she started Humanico: to ensure every person matters, not just the obvious performers.

Paul Rush

Co-founder

Top 5 Strengths:

Futuristic | Strategic | Woo | Ideation | Input

Having spent more than 25 years assessing people and conducting over 20,000 interviews, Paul developed a deep understanding of human capability that goes far beyond traditional recruitment. He intrinsically took a strengths-based approach, focusing on what people did really well, naturally.

Paul’s “aha moment” came when he kept hearing the same frustration from C-Suite executives: “We’re spending massive resources searching externally for talent, but what if incredible people are already in our organisation?” This revelation led him to co-found Humanico, where he leverages his expertise to help companies see the hidden potential within their own teams.

Where Fiona describes herself as the “do-er,” Paul is the “woo-er” bringing his unique strengths to how Humanico connects with clients and solves complex people challenges.
